ProLine12™ UHMPE Eye & Eye Rope Slings
A lightweight synthetic rope sling with an eye at each end. ProLine12 combines high strength-to-weight performance with low elongation, making it a practical option for applications that call for a properly rated synthetic sling. Choose from five rope diameters in 25-, 50-, or 100-foot lengths.
Key Features
- 12-strand UHMPE construction: All diameters offered here use a 12-strand rope construction.
- Lightweight handling: Approximately one-seventh the weight of wire rope slings, with a superior strength-to-weight ratio.
- Low elongation: Approximately 1% elongation, as specified by the manufacturer.
- Bending fatigue performance: Designed to provide excellent bending fatigue characteristics.
- Floats and resists corrosion: UHMPE rope floats and does not require lubrication.
- Protective treatment: Rope treatment helps resist abrasion and ultraviolet degradation.
- Protected eyes: Standard bulked nylon (Cordura®) sleeves protect the sling eyes.
- Inspection: The rope construction supports visual inspection; follow the manufacturer's inspection and removal-from-service instructions.
Sizes, Lengths & Working Load Limits
Ratings below are the published working load limits for the ProLine12 Eye & Eye series. All capacities are in pounds (lb). Each listed diameter is offered in 25-, 50-, and 100-foot lengths.
| Rope Diameter | Lengths | Vertical WLL | Choker WLL* | 90° Basket WLL |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1/4 inch | 25, 50, 100 ft | 1,600 | 1,120 | 3,200 |
| 3/8 inch | 25, 50, 100 ft | 3,500 | 2,450 | 7,000 |
| 1/2 inch | 25, 50, 100 ft | 6,200 | 4,380 | 12,400 |
| 3/4 inch | 25, 50, 100 ft | 13,700 | 9,590 | 27,400 |
| 1 inch | 25, 50, 100 ft | 22,000 | 15,400 | 44,000 |
*Choker protection is mandatory. Properly positioned protection is required at the choke point to reduce friction and prevent rope-on-rope damage. Protection adequacy must be evaluated for the application.
Important Selection & Use Information
- Working load limits are not breaking strengths. Use the sling tag and manufacturer's instructions for the actual sling and configuration.
- Basket capacities shown apply to the manufacturer's 90° basket configuration. Do not apply these values unchanged to other angles or configurations.
- Lifting WLL does not by itself specify a suitable vehicle weight or recovery load. Confirm the complete setup and intended use before selecting a sling for winch-extension or recovery work.
- Do not use above 140°F (60°C) or below −40°F (−40°C), including contact with objects outside that range.
- Abrasion-resistant covers do not provide protection against cutting. Follow the manufacturer's protection, inspection, use, and removal-from-service guidance.
