FULL PULL ROPE / SCREW PIN SHACKLES
Crosby S-209 screw pin anchor shackles
Choose from eleven Crosby S-209 sizes, with working load limits from 1 to 55 metric tonnes. These self-colored anchor shackles feature Crosby’s Red Pin® and a screw pin connection for temporary rigging setups.
Self-colored finish
The S-209 is Crosby’s self-colored screw pin anchor shackle, with nominal sizes from 3/8" through 2-1/2" offered here.
Removable screw pin
A threaded alloy pin allows the connection to be opened and reassembled for pick-and-place work.

Crosby S-209 features
- Forged steel construction with quench-and-temper heat treatment and an alloy screw pin.
- Meets Grade 6 performance requirements, with the WLL and grade permanently marked on the shackle.
- 6:1 design factor; fatigue rated for 20,000 cycles at 1.5 times WLL.
- Manufacturer-listed operating range: -40°F to 400°F (-40°C to 204°C).
- Crosby states that the S-209 meets or exceeds ASME B30.26 requirements.
The design factor and fatigue-test values do not increase the working load limit.

Choose the connection for the job
Crosby recommends screw pin shackles for temporary connections and bolt-type shackles for permanent or long-term installations. Fully engage and tighten the pin before each lift. Prevent a moving line from unscrewing it.
Confirm pin fit, bow clearance and sling compatibility. Side loading requires a reduced WLL. Follow Crosby’s application and inspection instructions, including the warnings linked below.
