Samson AmSteel®-Blue combines the strength of Dyneema® HMPE fiber with a lightweight, flexible single-braid construction. Its very low stretch and Samthane coating make it a dependable choice for demanding working-line applications. Choose from 16 diameters, from 7/64" through 1-1/2", with by-the-foot and spool options where offered in the selector.
Strong & lightweight
100% Dyneema HMPE fiber delivers a high strength-to-weight ratio in a rope light enough to float.
Very low stretch
Low elastic elongation and strong flex-fatigue performance suit controlled pulling and working-line applications.
Samthane protection
Samson’s coating enhances abrasion and cut resistance. The flexible, torque-free braid is easy to inspect and splice.
How to order
Choose your Size, Length, and Color from the options offered in the product selector above, then enter the quantity. Size, color, and length combinations vary.
Ordering by the foot
Where offered, select Foot and enter the total number of feet you need. Quantity 50 = 50 feet. Each selected size is supplied as one continuous length.
Ordering a full spool
Where offered, select Spool and enter the number of spools. Standard spool length depends on rope diameter; see the lengths below. You can also browse our bulk-spool page.
Color options: Blue, Silver, Black, Red, Orange, Yellow and Green, where offered for your selected size and length.
Need a longer continuous length or a larger diameter? Email nick@fullpullrope.com for lengths beyond the standard spool or diameters larger than 1-1/2".

These manufacturer figures describe stabilized rope, not initial stretch or allowable working loads.
Match the rope to the application
Samson lists AmSteel-Blue for general working lines and primary mooring lines, and recommends it for split-drum winches. Do not use it on H-bitts, capstans or cleats when surging or rendering the rope is required.
Select rope, terminations and hardware for the complete system. Protect against abrasion and sharp edges, avoid shock loading, and inspect before use. Follow the General Rope Users Guide for selection, use, care and retirement.
