FULL PULL ROPE / SAMSON TAURUS
Samson Taurus™ lifting slings combine a load-bearing HMPE core with an easy-to-handle eye-and-eye design. Braided HMPE protection at the eyes and a high-visibility polyester body cover help guard against abrasion. Choose from 12 vertical working load limits, with overall lengths from 10 to 50 ft depending on the size.
General-purpose slings that Samson specifies as conforming to ASME B30.9, with tagged hitch-specific ratings at a 5:1 safety factor.
A fabricated multi-loop strength member carries the load. Non-load-bearing chafe protection covers the eyes and body.
A lightweight alternative to wire or chain, with a flexible eye-and-eye form that simplifies handling and change-outs.
Sizes above 100,000 lb vertical WLL have a 4–5 week lead time. This applies to the 130,000 through 400,000 lb options marked below. Confirm timing before placing a time-sensitive order.
The product’s size options are the vertical working load limit (WLL) in pounds. Basket and choker configurations have their own published ratings. All WLLs below use Samson’s stated 5:1 safety factor. Scroll sideways on smaller screens to view every column.

Use the sling’s tag, Certificate of Compliance and Samson’s instructions for the actual lifting arrangement. Have a qualified rigger verify hitch configuration, angles, load distribution, connection fit and edge protection. Inspect the sling before use and keep people clear of suspended loads.
Check these dimensions when planning connections. Eye and body widths are maximum published dimensions; they are not rope diameters or minimum bend diameters.
